Welcome to the Official Website of the Canton Rescue Squad

The Canton Rescue Squad provides Emergency Medical Services to the residents of St. Lawrence County. We operate seven Paramedic ambulances out of two locations in the Village of Canton.

We respond to 911 calls in a primary response area that includes the Town and Village of Canton and portions of several surrounding Towns. We may also be called through mutual aid to respond to assist other rescue squads in covering their calls or providing Advanced Life Support with them.

We provide Interfacility Transfers between hospitals for patients requiring higher levels of care or specialty services not offered locally. Transfers are typically from one of the county’s five hospitals to hospitals in Saranac Lake, Plattsburgh, Syracuse, and Rochester New York and Burlington Vermont.
